What to Expect from Facial Sculpting
Facial sculpting—also known as fat grafting, fat transfer, lipostructure or micro fat injection—is a procedure where fat is transferred to add volume to the face. Liposuction removes fat from areas where there is often an excess of fat, such as the abdomen, thighs or buttocks. The fat is then purified and injected into the desired areas of the face with a small syringe. Facial sculpting with fat grafting is a great option to naturally achieve the effects of dermal fillers by using your own body.

Recovery From Facial Sculpting
It is important to follow all post-operative instructions from Dr. Burke, including any instructions on taking pain medication. After the procedure, you should expect to take about a week to rest and recover. Sutures from the liposuction site will be removed about a week after your procedure. You may experience some side effects, including:
Swelling
Bruising around the site of the liposuction
Bruising of the face
Numbness
Facial Sculpting Results
You will see results from your facial fat grafting either right away or within a couple of days. Expect to see your final results six months post-operation. Your skin will appear smoother and more volumized, resulting in a more youthful appearance.
It is important to note that your body will absorb some percentage of the transferred fat. Since individual results do vary, some patients will return to have a second facial sculpting procedure done to achieve the desired effect. However, the fat that does remain will likely be permanent, and oftentimes, results will last for years to come.
