The Knockout!
There are times where a blepharoplasty result can truly be astonishing. The phrase “the eyes are the windows to the soul” is well recognized. By opening someone’s eyes, we’re opening up their soul, their character. This rule of thumb applies time after time.
By opening up someone’s appearance with eyelid surgery, their eyes look bigger, more open, more youthful. But we could also use terms like more awake, more attentive, more intelligent-looking, more friendly…the list goes on and on.
Periorbital rejuvenation is most commonly a combination of upper lid, lower lid and sometimes brow work. It is frequently accompanied by some variety of skin polishing, usually by some laser tool. There is a component of skin draping. There is a component of volume management or fat pad management. There is a component of skin tightening, or smoothing, what I’m referring to as polishing. Taken together, eye work can turn back the clock and create some of the most impressive and impactful rejuvenating results.
